We have something for everyone!
As children this age have had a longer time to the sleep habits they have generally I see goals being achieved around 2-weeks, however, it can take less or more time then this depending on the sleep struggle. With preschoolers, it is all about consistency and so to see result we need you and whoever is supporting to be 100% ready to make sleep happen gain.
At this age children are continuing to learn to express themselves and learn about their place in this big world. They will respond to the change and sometimes respond in big ways. Behaviour is a form of communication, as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, I can support you through what is happening and help understand why, teach new strategies, and teach replacement skills.
There may be tears, however, sometimes they are ready for the change to take place as they are so exhausted and it is us not ready for the change.
It begins with you completing an intake form that help me better understand what is happening & having you collect some sleep data to give me a better understanding how often the sleep struggle is occurring. Next I take this information and begin creating a plan for you using evidence-based strategies and sleep training method options. We will meet to review the intake to ensure I have an accurate understanding and then review the plan in detail. I will answer any questions that you have, teach you how to implement the plan, & move forward based on what you're comfortable with
